Sakul is an internationally-renowned Thai flower designer and installation artist. Trained in engineering, he is known for the innovative structures supporting his arrangements, and the diverse range of plant materials such as fibres and leaves from the banana and coconut, and culms and twigs from bamboo.   Sakul’s diverse works include floral installations, product design, a bouquet delivery service and displays tailored to special events, notably royal commissions for the Queen of Thailand, a pool installation at the Chedi in Bali, and a recent APEC Summit.   Author of the number one best seller “Tropical Colors: The Art of Living with Tropical flowers”, and “Color your Moods: 48 flowers in glasses”, Sakul also contributes columns to various magazines.

Recognising that flowers have always been an integral part of the cultural fabric of Thailand and a constant reminder of the country’s Buddhist heritage and identity, Sakul appreciates that flowers are also woven into the daily lifes of the Thai people, but tries to introduce new and dynamic ways of using the abundant tropical plants and fruits.  Sakul is well known for interpreting spiritual ideas through plant installations and for the distinctive line, texture and sculptural quality of his arrangements.  He explains, ‘Color impacts the emotions, so flowers can amplify your life and redefine your home.’  Through his floral designs he shows how even a single bloom can create a mood, whether sensual or elegant, witty or chic.
