Nyein Chan Su (NCS) was born in 1973 and from an early age he was interested in painting and colour. He is a graduate of the State School of Fine Arts, and has taken part in more than 20 group exhibitions and seven solo shows, including a few exhibitions abroad.
NCS is best know for his use of the broad brush and strong colours, which fill his canvases with energy. He also often integrates performance and installation art into his solo shows.
In 2003, NCS established 'Studio Square', an art studio and gallery for himself and a small group of other artists in Yangon.
