Kasemsak Tranucharat was born in 1952 in Khon Kaen but lives and
works in Chiang Mai. He is one of the artists whose creations reflect the
life of man. The essence of "Human Being" is the presentation of man
as an individual, as a spiritual being and as an ordinary man with his
usual desires of love, hatred, greed and obsession.
From his personal experience, Kasemsak has observed the changes in
human behavior as affected by worldly development which he believes
has degenerated man. His works reflect the consequence of change
in a manner that is not satirical but rather posed as a straight forward
question for the viewer to ponder. He has explored a variety of mediums
such as Acrylic on canvas, sculptures and Chinese ink on paper.
