Kamol was born in 1985 and is a native of Chiang Mai. A young, but talented artist, he is presently studying fine art at the Rajamankha Institute in Chiang Mai and hopes to graduate in a couple of years. He has been chosen as one of the new talents, among a group of fourteen more experienced artists from the region, to participate in the ‘Faces of Asia’ Exhibition, La Luna Gallery’s first exhibition for 2007.
His large works, such as ‘Melancholy’ and ‘Thoughtful’ are painted in oil on canvas and are as rich in colour as they are in emotion. The colours simply explode in the eye and the human emotions they depict touch the heart. His smaller works, the portraits series 2006, are equally colourful and emotive, are painted in oil on paper.
