Hein Thit was born in 1971 in East Pauk Taw Village in Pyay Township, central Myanmar. He studied at the State School of Fine Arts in Yangon, graduating in 1991, and later increased his understanding of art techniques under master artists U Tin Aye, U Kyaw Lay, U Thit Lwin Soe and U Muang Myint Aung.
Hein Thit has participated in a number of group exhibitions in Myanmar and at the Karin Weber Gallery in Hong Kong, and in March 2004 he presented a solo show entitled "Beauty of Nothing" at the Azada Galery in Yangon.
His works very often portray and celebrate the female form, using bright colours and swirling, provacative lines.
