Chumpol Taksapornchai was born in 1977 in Bangkok, Thailand, but presently lives and works in Chiang Mai.
He graduated from Rajabhat Institute, Thonburi in Visual Communication Design. For inspiration he admits he is a keen observer of human life and culture, behavior and nature including his own moods and thoughts.
Over the last four years, Chumpol has exhibited in many group exhibitions in various venues in Bangkok and Chiang Mai - BOI Fair 2000, "Life in Bangkok" Mercury Art Gallery 2001, "Bangkok on canvas", Queen Sirikit National Convention Center 2001, Campari Red Party, Bangkok 2001, "The Charmed ones" Coffee Society 2004. He has also won some awards including a 2nd place in a Nokia Art Awards.
Chumpol now works as a full-time artist and his mediums are oil, acrylic, crayon and even pencil on canvas.
