Artists:

Benjawan was born in1978 in Lamphun, where she completed high school before moving to Chiang Mai. She began to study art at Rajamangala Instuture of Technology where she achieved the Bachlor of Fine Art from The Faculty of Fine Arts in 2002.

The title of her paintings for her final art thesis was "Complexity of planes". The idea is to show how so-called civilisation and modernity have created more LINES and PLANES all around us. Wit more and more people moving into big cities, the form and architectural designs of our houses are forced to change accordingly.

"All around us we see lines and planes on top of one another. Roofs on top of other roofs, houses on top of the other houses". Benjawans paintings are of mixed media, presented in the way that the viewer may get the feeling that these roofs and lines are really poping up on us and this gives another dimension to it. Her art works reflect how these planes are viewed and felt through the artists eyes.
