Amnat was born in Suphanburee in 1977 and attended the Rajamangkala Institutes in Chiang Mai, graduating with a bachelor degree. He is working towards his masters degree in print at Silapakorn University, Bangkok, and he has also been invited to teach at the university.
He finds his inspiration in the confrontation between expectations and reality, portraying girls from the country-side going to work in the big city, where a number of them end up in bars, massage-parlours and karaoke-bars. The costumers are absent, it is the women waiting which Amnat captures, with their strong eyes, boring, intense and half-dead at the same time. "They smile at you, but they are not happy", he says.
His prints are artistic interpretations but disturbingly accurate.
Amnat`s work has been exhibited in Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan.
